British Critic Slams Nicole Kidman's 'Acting'

Reviews for the Baz Luhrmann-directed epic Australia starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman have been mixed. However, there is no questioning just how strongly London Times critic Melanie Reid feels about Kidman's performance in the film.

To sum it up, Reid states: "Kidman is exquisitely accomplished at being awful." Comparing the Botox-loving new mom to an expressionless porcelain doll, the reviewer gives the Oscar-winner full blame should the film flop at the box office.

In addition, Reid blames Kidman for spawning clones like Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow "with faces like atrophied dolls, capable of adjusting their emotions only on direction." Ha! Apparently, she's not familiar with the new-new face and why it's supposed to be awesome.
